The time has come to place over-sized trees inside our homes. Luckily, the Rogue Valley has plenty of places to pick out your family’s next ornament hanger. Big ones, small ones, green ones, even blue ones. Beat the crowds to ensure that your tree is not the scraggly one at the end of the lot.

Campbell Trees, Ashland
Stop by the Shop ‘n Kart in Ashland and pick up what’s dropped off. The first trees come in on December 1. Take your pick of premium number one Douglas Firs ranging from six to eight feet in height. Also available are Noble Firs in the same range. 760-726-4744

U Cut Christmas Tree Farm, Medford
This four generational family-run business is a great place to find the perfect Christmas tree. You choose, then cut (saws provided). Tall pre-cut natural Noble and White Firs also available. Free hot drinks, tree trimmings, Mistletoe and Holly. Open 10 am-5 pm Friday – Sunday after Thanksgiving. 3132 Camp Baker Rd, Medford

Bob U Cut, Central Point
Who says Christmas can’t have variety? Douglas Fir, Grand Fir, Spruce (blue and green) and Scotch Pine. Cost is $4/foot. $5 discount per Scotch Pine. Saw and twine provided. 4623 Nellis Ave. Central Point

Do it yourself!
Want to show off to the kids what a grown-up you are? Grab your axe and a permit and thin the forest. Permits can be found at the BLM office in Medford, Ashland Mountain Supply, and Shady Cove Hardware to name just a few.
