Take Flight Opens January 11, at ScienceWorks
Ashland, Oregon, Jan 8, 2020. A new exhibit “Take Flight” opens on January 11, 2020. “Take Flight” inspires exhilarating exploration of the forces that make flight possible. Visitors of all ages discover the fundamental principles of flight through interactive exhibits. Participants even make their own simple planes and rockets.
Exhibit components include, Rocket Launcher, Hover Port, Wind Tube and more. The ever- popular Wing Zinger will be on display. Experience the exhibit that put ScienceWorks on the national map! “Take Flight” has been leased by over 15 locations nationally and garnered excellent reviews. ScienceWorks welcomes back a hallmark exhibit to share with our local audience. On display January 11 through May 17, 2020.
New, this year, is an exciting Aviation Camp component. At Aviation Camp, March 22-27, spring break 2020, students are in for a real treat. The course instructor is a long-time field pilot and helicopter pilot. This aviation professional will take students on a tour of the physics of flight, go through partial ground school, get practice on simulators, learn to pilot drones, get a feel for the art of aviation, and clock in actual flight experience.
Space is limited to the first 12 students to sign up. 9-12am, Monday – Friday. Camp open to ages 8-14.
