Six Feet Apart: Stories of Resilience and Transformation
August 29 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
VIRTUAL CONCERT WORLD PREMIERE EVENT
Six Feet Apart: Stories of Resilience and Transformation is an innovative multimedia work of choral music based on the real-life experiences of Oregonians that harnesses the power of music, poetry, and art to amplify diverse voices and foster collective healing in Oregon during the COVID-19 pandemic.
It features music composed by longtime Rogue Valley residents Ethan Gans-Morse, poetry Tiziana DellaRovere with special guest submissions by current and former Oregon Poets Laureate Anis Mojgani & Kim Stafford, and artwork by Betty LaDuke. The music is performed by the professional choir HEX and LA-based new music ensemble Brightwork. The stories were collected and submitted by a diverse cross-section of Oregonians over the course of the last year, including students at H.B. Lee Middle School in Portland.
All of these multimedia layers are brought to life by filmmaker and video designer Camilla Tassi.
This is a ticketed event in which the creators of the concert will respond to your questions LIVE over a YouTube broadcast. Tickets for this live launch event on August 29 are “pay what you will” starting at $12. Thereafter, the video will remain up for free on our company website.
