Call of Life explores an unprecedented loss of biodiversity and the opportunity to protect the planet, our only home.
Back From the Brink Community Film and Conversation Series begins January 15, 2020, with a screening of the film Call of Life at the Southern Oregon Guild Gallery (at the RCC Belt Bldg) in Kerby. Doors open at 6 PM,film begins at 6:30. Admission is free and refreshments will be served. Donations are encouraged to help cover costs.
Call of Life explores the human-created consequences of the mass extinction already under way. It explains the psychological and cultural patterns that have perpetuated the crisis, and examines the collective and individual actions we need to take in order to mitigate the impacts and protect the planet, our only home.
Before the film, community members can enjoy refreshments and connect with local nature-based organizations. A moderated conversation following each film will provide a safe space to share feelings and thoughts about the crises before us, and what actions we can take to address them.
Back From the Brink is a collaborative project of Illinois Valley Indivisible, Illinois Valley Sierra Club, and Rusk Ranch Nature Center.
