Resolve to get involved in the New Year! Join us for this community event to learn about the
many volunteer opportunities for seniors in the area. Co-sponsored by Ashland Senior Services
Division, Community Volunteer Network, and Ashland Asante Community Hospital.

North Mountain Park Nature Center Garden Opening

Celebrate spring, get your hands into the soil and learn how you can be a part of the beautiful
gardens at North Mountain Park Nature Center. Staff and volunteers will provide an orientation
to the Demonstration Gardens and the many volunteer opportunities. Meet other gardeners
and get your hands dirty preparing garden beds for the new season. Gloves, tools and snacks
provided. Garden work days continue every Wednesday morning from May through November,
with opportunities for gardeners of all levels of experience. Drop-in occasionally or adopt your
own garden area. Pre-Registration not required. For more information call the North Mountain

Southern Oregon Junior Golf Tour

This developmental junior tour introduces competitive golf to the Rogue Valley. Now you don’t
have to drive your junior up to the Willamette Valley for competitive junior golf tournaments.

Rogue Valley Bike Swap

Buy a bike – Sell a bike! Funds from the Rogue Valley Bike Swap support bike safety education
in our elementary schools.
Selling? Working-condition bicycles and related equipment can be dropped off at The Grove,
1195 E Main St: Friday, April 3, 5-7pm -or- Saturday, April 4, 8-10am
Buying? Doors open to the public on Saturday, April 4, Noon-2 pm. Admission into the Bike
Swap is $1 per person.
Donating? Tax receipts available for donated working condition bicycles and related
equipment. Donations accepted now through Wednesday, April 1 at The Grove.
The 30th Annual Rogue Valley Bike Swap is sponsored by Ashland Parks & Recreation and
Rogue Valley Transportation District (RVTD), with support from City of Ashland’s Police
Department and Public Works Department.

3rd Annual Southern Oregon Regional Tree Climbing Competition

We are partnering with The Pacific Northwest Chapter of the International Society of
Arboriculture (PNW-ISA) to host a regional tree climbing competition. The PNW-ISA represents
professional arborists from Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Idaho and British Columbia. Come join
us for an aerial-acrobatics show that is not only free but displays some of the best professional
tree climbers in the world! This year, our event is being held at the historic Oak Knoll Golf Course, which has several large, old majestic trees that will be utilized in the competition. Enjoy

Arbor Day

Join us to celebrate Arbor Day 2020. We are hosting a free, educational tree planting event in
May. Learn about specie selection, tree planting techniques and get your hands dirty by

Rogue Valley Bird Day

Learn all about the birds you may see in the Rogue Valley, as well as the incredible journey of
migrating birds around the world at this local celebration of World Migratory Bird Day. Join us
at North Mountain Park for free guided bird walks, live birds at the Wildlife Images exhibit, kid’s
activities and bird calling contests for all ages. Everyone is invited to join the Big Sit, an effort to
spot as many bird species as possible from a designated area at the pavilion. This free outdoor
event is fun for the whole family (protect wildlife, leave pets at home). For more information,
