Battle to be #1 in a video game tournament starting at 4:30 p.m., or drop in from 4:30–6:30 p.m. to play PS4, Nintendo, and computer games.

New Year’s Time Capsule
Monday, January 13 • 4:30–6:30 p.m.
Seal your New Year’s goals and hopes for 2020 in a time capsule. When you open it sometime in the future, you’ll be able to look back to see how much has changed.

Fire History: Indigenous Burning to Recent Wildfires, What Have We Learned?

The Shasta and Takelma tribes had an extensive use of fire, which affected the forest and landscape. Chris Chambers will discuss how changes since that time over 150 years ago have led us to our current fire situation.

Sperry is a cellist, composer, singer, songwriter, poet, spoken-word artist, street musician, and community artist living in Ashland. His albums feature instrumental “musical portraits” as well as spoken word poetry with musical landscapes.

Author Talk: Only Hope: A Survivor’s Stories of the Holocaust
Sunday, January 26 • 1:00–2:00 p.m.
Before she passed away in 1974, Felicia Bornstein Lubliner wrote about her internment in Polish ghettos and two concentration camps, Auschwitz and Gross-Rosen. Her powerful stories were published by her son, Irving Lubliner, who will share excerpts that shed light on his mother’s experiences and indomitable spirit, as well as his experience as a child of Holocaust survivors.
