All Things Clay: Annual Clayfolk Show
The shapes, molds and purposes that clay can become are really only limited by imagination—and at the 44th annual Clayfolk Show & Sale, that seems to be boundless. The artists participating are almost giddy about their experimentation and expressions with clay—from tea sets to outer-worldly beings, from earthen tones to retina-scorching hues, and from traditional to funky-mc-funk.
This event is an all-encompassing universe of clay-making, as much about showing off wares as it is about trying to teach how-to, as there are hands-on seminars throughout the weekend. For a more advanced class, check out Dennis Meiners on Saturday, 3 pm. He has been creating approachable but intricate pots for nearly a half century, and is hosting a presentation on “finding story with texture.”
4 – 9 pm Fri, Nov 22; 10 am – 7 pm Sat Nov 23; 10 am – 4 pm Sun Nov 24. Medford Armory, 1701 S Pacific Hwy.
