On its 146th renewal date, the Kentucky Derby won’t settle until September 5, 2020. The event has deviated from its usual celebration date due to the COVID-19 outbreak. That said, bettors and racehorses got an extended time to prepare before this first leg of the U.S. Triple Crown Series will take place.

While it’s true that we won’t get to witness the Run For The Roses until the end quarter of this year, the Derby-prep races are almost done, and Churchill Downs Inc. is about to finalize the list of twenty horses that will compete in this racing show. Only two prep races were left and got postponed with no date yet, which are the Wood Memorial Stakes and Santa Anita Derby.

As we all wait for the Derby to happen, let’s get to know the top seven horses who earned the highest Derby qualifying points. These horses are on the verge of getting a sure spot to compete at Churchill Downs in September. You can now put bets on, so make sure you have your betting calculator as you come across their odds value until the racing games begin.

Tiz The Law (122 Points)

Currently earning 122-Derby qualifying points, Tiz The Law is now leading the race for the top spot in the Kentucky Derby trail.
