Jacob Lebel is a 21-year-old climate activist and farmer from Roseburg. Jacob is a plaintiff in the Juliana vs United States court case coordinated by the Eugene-based organization, Our Children’s Trust  (https://www.ourchildrenstrust.org/). OTC is “leading the game-changing, youth-driven, global climate recovery program to secure the legal right to a stable climate and healthy atmosphere.” The basis for the lawsuit is the historic Public Trust Doctrine, a legal concept with ancient roots. The Gold Hill Library will host a new Writer’s Critique Group on the second Wednesday of each month beginning March 14 at the Gold Hill Library, 202 Dardanelles Street. The Writer’s Critique Group is open to eight writers of any genre with a work in progress.
