This is also for individuals who would like a safe space to better understand gender identity and the importance of changing our way of understanding gender as a society. The event will include: panel discussion by individuals who identify as trans*; exercises in challenging one’s own understanding of gender and gender identity; and room for safe talk and exploration.
Facilitators include both trans* folk and their allies, including local psychotherapist Audrey Lehmann, Ph.D., who specializes in queer and trans* care.

11th: BedPost Confessions: Your confessions. Your stories.
BedPost Confessions creates a space for stories and artistic expression about sexuality and the human experience. We strive for our show to spark a conversation between friends and lovers about sexual expression, gender, relationships, and all the intersections. Come hear four brave storytellers share scintillating (and occasionally mortifying) details of their lives? Better yet? You can get in on the action by “confession” on cards that will be read anonymously.
See us at Pride on October 11 at 8:30 pm-Hearsay in Ashland.
12th: Drag Show: Details coming soon
13th: Film Screening: Breaking the Silence
The Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs is excited to partner with the Rogue Valley Pride Festival for the very first public showing of this important and relevant storytelling project. In partnership with True Path Consulting NW, we have brought together the stories of some of our LGBTQ family who served in the U.S. military. This presentation gives a platform for five Oregon veterans to tell about their experiences serving our country often while having to hide their true authentic selves. We are honored to be able to help tell their stories.
