An original, immersive adaptation of J.M. Barrie’s beloved Peter Pan at LongSword Vineyard

Applegate Valley, OR 8.8.2019 — Showing this September at LongSword Vineyard, Neverland, is a brand new adaptation of J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan that tells the iconic story from Wendy’s perspective. Audience members will begin on LongSword Vineyard’s patio and then physically travel with Wendy and the Darling children as they fly to Neverland, which will be located on a hidden acre in the back of the property. The entire show will travel 1⁄2 mile across the property and will take place outside with seating available for most of the show. It will run approximately 2-2.5 hours and is appropriate for ages 10+. Audience members with mobility concerns should email neverland@wanderlusttheatre.co.

The production will feature a diverse cast of sixteen local actors in addition to an original sound design by Jacob Kuhl, lighting design by Sharif Abdulrahman, costume design by Sarah Buck, and set design by Kat McCarthey. Audience members are advised to wear sturdy, close-toed shoes and to bring layers. LongSword Vineyard wine will be available for purchase and LongSword’s winemaker Matthew Sorensen will be creating specialty wine cocktails for the show. Tickets start at $15.

Wanderlust Theatre Company was founded by Nathan Green, Jessica Jae Unker, and Kate Vangeloff. After spending almost 15 years working in regional theaters in major cities, the group decided to take a leap of faith and move to Southern Oregon in the hopes of bringing their unique performance style to the local Applegate Valley community.

Mission Statement: Wanderlust Theatre Company believes in the power of art to promote collaboration, inclusion, diversity, and environmental stewardship in our community. Wanderlust strives to uphold these values by producing work in non-traditional spaces, creating artistic workshops for the public, and highlighting the Applegate Valley’s natural treasures through performance and spectacle.

Executive Producer Kate Vangeloff says “We couldn’t be more thrilled to be producing this unique theatrical experience at LongSword Vineyard with the stunning beauty of the Applegate

Valley as our stage and with LongSword wine at the ready for audience members to enjoy. It promises to be an unforgettable experience!”
