Movie Classics & More: Ingrid Bergman

Mondays • 1:00–3:00 p.m.

December 2: Rick Blaine (Bogart) owns a nightclub in Vichy-controlled Casablanca, frequented by refugees desperate to escape German domination. Despite the ever-present human misery, Rick manages to remain uninvolved in World War II now raging across Europe and Northern Africa. But all that changes when Ilsa Lund (Bergman) walks through the front door of Rick’s club–Rick must now choose between a life with the woman he loves and becoming the hero that both she and the world need. Holiday Stories and Cookies with Santa

Saturday, December 7 • 2:00–3:30 p.m.

Santa is visiting the Gold Hill Library for a special holiday storytime. Bring your camera to take photos.

 

LEGO Builders, Architects, & Engineers, 4+ YRS

2nd & 4th Wednesdays* • 2:30–3:30 p.m.

*Library is closed on 12/25

Build and display your own LEGO creations. DUPLO bricks are available for younger kids.

 

Holiday Decor Arts & Crafts with Recycled Books, 11+ YRS (5–10 W/ ADULT)

Saturday, December 14 • 1:00–3:00 p.m.

Make holiday decorations with recycled books, washi tape, markers, ribbon, stencils, and other creative materials. We have craft ideas for all ages.

 

Gold Hill Library Book Club, 18+ YRS

3rd Fridays • 3:00–4:00 p.m.

Discuss Days Without End by Sebastian Barry. Books are available for pickup one month prior to the meeting date.
